Family tours Hong Kong
From walking nature trails to hiking in the remotest corners of Hong Kong, there are many rewarding options for family outings in Hong Kong. Very few visitors get to the the most pristine areas of Hong Kong, as access is often only available via walking trails, so by joining us you and your family can experience the best we have to offer. Our tours are educational too, as we share tales of local history and culture.

If you only have a short ime available, we can walk you through the back streets of Kowloon, and the central districts of Hong Kong Island, showing you historical sites, everyday life and a range of colourful markets. Children particularly enjoy the bird and gold fish markets.

Your family can join a scheduled tour with others, if the children are walking fit and aged 8 years and above. Or else we can tailor a tour to suit your needs, taking into account how much time you have and what would interest you most.

We use public transport  in Hong Kong, and this is a great exerience in itself. We could use the famous Star Ferry, the Peak Tram, our efficient underground network, or one of the many double decker buses.

Please email us at walks@walkhongkong.com, and we will happly put together a walk, hike or Hong Kong tour for you.

Private tours Hong Kong
If you are short of time in Hong then this is definitely the way to see it all.  Thanks Jackie, the tasks you set for the children kept them busy and learning even though they didn’t realise it.  Walk Hong Kong we can thoroughly recommend for any family, with their personalised service it certainly made our tour very enjoyable for all.
Laurens choice of attached photo is the tram, Jocelyn the high rise, and a group photo.

Thank you Jackie for taking us on a great tour of Hong Kong. I enjoyed going to the markets, and places that we wouldn’t have found by ourselves.
Lauren
I really enjoyed the tour. I liked learning about the history and doing the quizzes that Jackie set for us.   I can’t pick a favourite thing we did as it was all excellent.

Wong Nei Chung Gap to Stanley Walk
A lovely shaded family walk through a woodland park .This is a gentle and largely downhill walk starting from Wong Nei Chung Gap, where the road from Central to the south side of the Island cuts through the mountain range that makes up Hong Kong Island. It ends in the popular village of Stanley on the southern coast of the Island where there are many restaurants, bars and the famous Stanley Market. The trail follows the western edge of the Tai Tam Country Park and provides spectacular views over Deepwater Bay and Repulse Bay, looking across the Lamma Channel to Lamma Island. The path is largely a contour path, partly concrete, partly natural dirt. At Stanley there is a Maritime Museum in the reconstructed Murray Building and Correctional Services Museum and the old Stanley Cemetery dating from when British troops were first stationed there in 1841. There are also Temples dedicated to Tin Hau and Pak Tai, both local patron gods of seafarers and fishermen. The walk ends in Stanley but we give you full instructions on how to return to Central or Causeway Bay by bus.
