What do we offer you?

Walk Hong Kong organises walking and hiking tours to enable visitors to explore the green Hong Kong, generally away from the shopping centres and crowds. Although we also offer two urban walking tours to help visitors familiarise themselves with Hong Kongs historical development and with the many markets used by local residents.

Walk Hong Kong has been operating for 5 years now, and is run by Jackie Peers, Marco Foehn and Sabine Woelk.

Jackie grew up in rural New Zealand and developed a love of the outdoors and travelling. Her previous careers were in nursing and photography, but her roamings on the hills of the New Territories with her beloved spaniel Fergus convinced her that there's nothing quite like putting one foot in front of the other....

Marco is Swiss, but has lived in Hong Kong since 1982.
Having retired from a successful career in banking, he now has the time to share his knowledge of Hong Kong's lifestyle and heritage, as well as his enthusiasm for its natural spaces.

Sabine is a keen hiker who guided both in Germany and Austria before making Hong Kong her home.

Our Credentials

We are aware that there are some unlicensed walking tours operators in Hong Kong. In accordance with the Travel Agents (Amendment) Ordinance 2002, any operator who offers tours in Hong Kong to visitors is required to obtain a Travel Agents Licence from the Travel Agents Registry and it is a Criminal Offence to offer or lead Tours without a License. To obtain a Licence, a Company must be incorporated and be a Member of the Travel Industry Council and a Member of a Travel Trade Association affiliated to the TIC.
